I thought it was an abstract painting of Jesus Christ's face! I think I am wrong! Contemplation is a great title for this shot .... I have a painting called "Christ: the Last Contemplation"; it has some feature of your shot!

What made this shot beatiful is the balanced between black and white spaces. You have to comfortable abstract spaces at both sides (black and white), and then the middle part have the details and small touches .. The white color space is kind of a wall against which the person is standing and contemplating; the black space is giving the universe feeling; no limit for contemplation - infinity!

Interesting to see this painting of yours, it really has same features, though yours is definately more religious than mine. And this coincidence of the titles! - I like the way you analyze the picture and your thoughts of composition, of dividing the space into different sections - so, thank you :)
